LiveGallery (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a real-time photo display service for events. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our service at livegallery.photos.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following data:
- Photos uploaded by guests — images submitted to an event gallery via the upload page.
- Event organiser details — the email address provided when creating an event, used solely to deliver post-event photo links.
- Event metadata — event name, date, and configuration settings.
We do not collect names, IP addresses, location data, or any other personal identifiers from guests uploading photos. No user accounts or logins are required to upload a photo.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Photos are displayed on the event’s live montage screen and made available to the event organiser for download.
- Email addresses are used only to send event organisers a link to their photos after the event.
- Content moderation — uploaded images are automatically screened by an AI model to detect inappropriate content. This is done solely for safety purposes. No human reviews images unless flagged.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data on the following legal bases under GDPR:
- Consent — guests provide consent when uploading a photo by agreeing to the consent notice on the upload page.
- Legitimate interests — content moderation to maintain a safe environment.
- Contract — processing event organiser data to fulfil the service agreement.
5. Who Has Access to Your Data
- Event organisers can view, download, and delete photos from their event via the moderation page.
- Google Firebase (our data processor) stores photos and event data. Google’s Data Processing Agreement applies.
- Abacus AI processes images for content moderation only.
- Stripe processes payments for paid event packages. We do not store payment card details.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any other third parties.
6. Data Retention
Photos and event data are retained for 90 days after the event date, after which they are automatically deleted. Event organisers may download their photos at any time during this period.
Event organisers can request immediate deletion of all event data by contacting us.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion — request that your data be deleted. Event organisers can delete individual photos via the moderation page, or request full event deletion.
- Portability — download all event photos via the ZIP download feature on the moderation page.
- Withdraw consent — you may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint — you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK.
8. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Photos are stored securely in Google Firebase Storage. Access to event photos is protected by PIN codes, and only authorised event organisers can view, download, or delete photos.
9. Cookies
LiveGallery does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use only essential technical storage required for the service to function correctly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
